Job Description

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Orderlies to assist patients within our healthcare facility. The Orderly will play a crucial role in ensuring patients are safely transported to various locations and receive the support they need during their care.

Responsibilities

• Support nursing staff in providing exceptional patient care.
• Assist with patient transfers between departments, ensuring safety during transitions.
• Communicate any changes in patient condition to the healthcare team promptly.
• Maintain the transport area and equipment in compliance with safety protocols.
• Participate in patient transport training sessions to enhance skills.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Experience working with geriatric and pediatric patients is preferred

Technical Skills

• Patient Mobility Assistance
• Electronic Medical Records (EMR) Systems

Soft Skills

• Adaptability
• Detail-oriented

Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification
• Completion of approved patient transport training program

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Geriatric Patient Handling Experience: Experience working with elderly patients, understanding their unique care requirements.
• Fast-paced Environment Experience: Experience working in fast-paced healthcare settings is an advantage.
