Job Description

As an Elevator and Escalator Installer and Repairer, you will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of elevators and escalators. You will conduct routine inspections, diagnose issues, and ensure compliance with safety standards. This role requires strong mechanical skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex systems.

Responsibilities

• Work with local building codes and safety guidelines.
• Install new systems in residential and commercial buildings.
• Provide estimates for repairs and installation jobs.
• Assist customers with their inquiries regarding elevator performance.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an apprenticeship program is preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in elevator repair and maintenance

Technical Skills

• Diagnostic software proficiency
• Power tools operation

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Teamwork

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with local elevator codes and regulations: In-depth knowledge of safety and operational regulations in the elevator industry.
• Previous experience working in commercial settings: Hands-on experience maintaining elevators in high-traffic commercial buildings.
