Wind Turbine Service Technicians

Job Description

We are on the lookout for skilled Wind Turbine Service Technicians who are experienced in maintaining and repairing wind energy systems. As a critical part of our team, you will ensure optimal performance and energy production of wind turbines. This role requires both technical know-how and the ability to work at considerable heights in a fast-paced, outdoor environment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect wind turbines for operational efficiency and make repairs as needed.
• Document maintenance schedules and work performed.
• Engage in troubleshooting to identify and fix issues promptly.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines while working at height.
• Collaborate with technicians and engineers for project execution.
• Assist in training new technicians as needed.
• Participate in safety trainings and workshops.
• Ensure that all tools and equipment are properly maintained.
• Help in the evaluation of new technologies for wind turbine maintenance.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Technical certification in wind turbine maintenance or related field

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in wind turbine maintenance or a similar field is preferred.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical diagnostic tools
• Experience with SCADA systems for remote monitoring and control

Soft Skills

• Reliability
• Adaptability

Certifications

• OSHA 10-Hour Safety Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Additional certifications in electrical or hydraulic systems: Certifications in related systems showcase a well-rounded skill set.
• Experience with specific wind turbine models or manufacturers: Familiarity with certain turbine technologies may enhance efficiency during repairs.
