Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Shochet to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Jewish dietary laws and be able to perform kosher slaughtering according to traditional Halachic standards.
Responsibilities
Carry out kosher slaughtering of animals following Jewish dietary laws.
Oversee the humane treatment of animals during the slaughter process.
Implement strict safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
Collaborate with the production team to ensure high-quality meat products.
Assist in training new Shochet staff and helping them adapt to processes.
Liaise with quality control to meet product quality requirements.
Ensure proper handling and storage of all kosher products.
Engage in community outreach for kosher education and standards.
Stay updated on changes in kosher laws and practices.
Requirements
Education
Certified Shochet
Vocational training in meat processing preferred
Experience
Minimum of 5 years' experience in kosher slaughtering
