Job Description

As a Police Surgeon, you will evaluate the medical fitness of police officers, oversee their health throughout their careers, and ensure they receive the medical support they need. Your role will involve conducting comprehensive medical examinations, providing critical medical advice, and contributing to health and wellness programs tailored for law enforcement.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments of officers returning to duty after injury or illness.
  • Advise on occupational health standards specific to law enforcement.
  • Monitor trends in health issues affecting officers and propose interventions.
  • Develop and lead educational sessions on health and wellness.
  • Participate in community outreach and educational programs.

Requirements

Education
  • MD or DO with a focus on emergency or occupational medicine
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in clinical practice, preferably in law enforcement settings.
