Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) to join our team. The successful candidate will assist ophthalmologists in providing care to patients with eye disorders. This role requires a mix of technical and interpersonal skills, as you will conduct preliminary eye exams, manage patient education, and support surgical procedures. Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for eye examinations and procedures.
• Assist in the documentation of patient medical histories.
• Support ophthalmologists with diagnostic and surgical tasks.
• Administer and manage patient medications as instructed.
• Educate patients regarding post-operative care and follow-up.
• Ensure compliance with safety and infection control protocols.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited program in ophthalmic technology is preferred

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in an ophthalmic setting
