Job Description

We are looking for a Personal Lines Underwriter to evaluate and assess risk for insurance applications related to personal lines such as home, auto, and more. The ideal candidate will analyze data, interact with clients and agents, and make informed decisions regarding polices.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and underwrite personal insurance applications.
• Collaborate with agents to gather necessary underwriting information.
• Analyze market trends to adjust underwriting practices.
• Negotiate terms of coverage with clients and agents.
• Prepare reports on underwriting decisions and maintain documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
• Develop and implement risk assessment guidelines.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, a Master’s is a plus

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in underwriting, particularly personal lines

Certifications

• Associate in Personal Insurance (API)

Languages

• English: Fluent
