Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous Insurance Underwriter to join our growing team. In this role, you'll review and analyze insurance applications, evaluate risk, and provide recommendations for coverage limits and premiums, ensuring our clients receive the best service possible.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough reviews of applicants’ financial histories and risk assessments.
• Make informed decisions regarding coverage limits, exclusions, and premiums.
• Create detailed reports outlining the rationale for underwriting decisions.
• Engage in continuous education related to insurance regulations and underwriting standards.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns.
• Collaborate with the risk assessment team to enhance accuracy in evaluations.
• Implement best practices in underwriting procedures to streamline workflow.
• Conduct periodic reviews of existing policies to ensure they remain in compliance with underwriting guidelines.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Risk Management or Business Administration
• Master's degree or relevant certifications are a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in the insurance industry, with at least 2 years focused on underwriting
