Job Description

As a Councilman, you will empower your community by making informed decisions and developing policies that promote public safety and improve living conditions. Your leadership will be vital in addressing resident concerns and driving local projects.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with constituents to understand community needs and concerns.
  • Lead discussions on critical issues affecting the community.
  • Design and implement strategic plans for regional development.
  • Represent the council at public events and meetings.
  • Monitor the execution of local government projects and policies.
  • Facilitate communication between city departments and the public.
  • Evaluate impact of policies on the community and make adjustments as needed.
  • Collaborate with community stakeholders to foster positive relationships.
  • Participate in workshops and training sessions to enhance leadership skills.
  • Prepare and present reports on council activities and developments.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree in Political Science, Public Administration, or a related field is preferred
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in local government or community advocacy roles
