Job Description

As a Christian Counselor, you will provide counseling services that integrate faith and therapeutic principles. You will help individuals, couples, and families navigate life challenges while exploring their spiritual beliefs.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate counseling sessions that utilize both therapeutic and Christian frameworks.
  • Assist clients in exploring their values and beliefs to enhance their overall mental well-being.
  • Monitor client progress and evaluate the effectiveness of each treatment plan.
  • Maintain an organized and confidential record of client sessions and progress notes.
  • Work in partnership with community organizations to promote mental health awareness.
  • Participate in staff meetings to discuss client cases and share insights with colleagues.
  • Promote a supportive and inclusive environment for clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Engage clients in goal-setting and encourage active participation in their healing process.
  • Utilize counseling software for efficient documentation and client management.

Requirements

Education
  • Doctorate in Counseling or Psychology is a plus
  • Valid state licensure as a Professional Counselor or Marriage and Family Therapist
Experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in a counseling environment.
