Job Description

As a Public Safety Telecommunicator, you will be the first point of contact for emergency calls. Your role is to ensure that help is dispatched promptly and efficiently. We're looking for individuals who thrive in high-pressure environments and are committed to community safety.

Responsibilities

• Handle high-volume call traffic and prioritize urgent situations.
• Provide critical information to responders to ensure effective action.
• Generate reports on incidents and dispatch activities for record-keeping.
• Act as a liaison between the public and emergency services to ensure effective communication.
• Stay updated on policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Experience in customer service, emergency dispatch, or a related field preferred.

• CAD Software

Certifications

• Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) Certification
• CPR and First Aid Certification
