Job Description

As a Lathe Operator at Manufacturing Excellence Corp, you will be responsible for setting up and operating lathe and turning machines to produce high-quality components from metal and plastic.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC and manual lathes to produce components from metal and plastic.
• Conduct inspections using precision measuring tools to ensure accuracy.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to 5S principles.
• Report equipment issues and assist in troubleshooting efforts.
• Work towards continuous improvement in processes and production efficiency.
• Assist in the design and implementation of tooling and fixtures for new products.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Associate degree in Manufacturing Technology is a plus

Experience

• 2+ years of experience as a Lathe Operator

Technical Skills

• Lathe Setup
• Blueprint Reading

Soft Skills

• Time Management
• Adaptability

Certifications

• OSHA Safety Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of CAD software: Experience in using CAD software for design and machining layouts.
• Familiarity with prototyping processes: Experience in building prototypes for testing and development.
