Public Health Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a proactive Public Health Specialist to help us implement community health programs that address critical health issues in New Orleans. The successful candidate will have experience in public health promotion, evaluation, and disease prevention.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate community outreach events to raise health awareness.
• Perform statistical analysis related to health trends.
• Facilitate focus groups and surveys to gather community input.
• Develop educational materials and resources for public distribution.
• Provide training to staff and volunteers on health topics.
• Monitor local health trends and prepare strategic action plans.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Sociology, or related fields
• Advanced degree in Public Health is an advantage

Experience

• Minimum of 4 years' experience in public health or related roles

• Statistical Software Proficiency

Certifications

• Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES)
• Certified Public Health Administrator (CPHA)

Languages

• English: Fluent
