Job Description

As a Behavior Intervention Specialist, you will play a crucial role in our team, designing and implementing individualized behavior intervention plans. Your expertise will be vital in assessing and addressing the behavioral needs of individuals with complex challenges, working collaboratively with caregivers and professionals to promote positive outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Assess individuals through functional behavior assessments to uncover behavior triggers.
  • Formulate behavior intervention plans that are customized to individual needs.
  • Guide and educate staff, caregivers, and families on implementing behavioral strategies.
  • Regularly review and analyze the success of intervention plans to optimize outcomes.
  • Keep thorough records of interventions and client progress for accountability.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to develop comprehensive strategies for clients.
  • Stay current on literature and innovations in behavioral therapies.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions to enhance service delivery.
  • Guarantee that all practices follow ethical and regulatory standards.
  • Encourage family engagement in the behavioral intervention process.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field
  • Master's degree in Counseling or related field is advantageous
Experience
  • Experience in a therapeutic or educational setting preferred
