Job Description

As a Furnace, Kiln, Oven, Drier, and Kettle Operator, you'll oversee the drying process of agricultural products, ensuring they meet the quality standards necessary for distribution. You’ll be responsible for monitoring equipment, adjusting settings, and maintaining operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setting up drying equipment and loading products for drying.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote safety.
• Monitor product quality throughout the drying process.
• Communicate effectively with team members regarding workflow and issues.
• Participate actively in team collaboration to achieve production goals.
• Document operating procedures and report discrepancies.
• Ensure proper PPE is worn in accordance with company policies.
• Conduct training on best practices for new employees.
• Help coordinate maintenance schedules for all drying machinery.
• Utilize technology to improve monitoring and reporting of production data.

Requirements

Education

• Post-secondary education in a relevant field is preferred

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in a related production role.

Technical Skills

• Forklift operation
• Safety regulations understanding

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in an agricultural production setting: Preferably experience working with agricultural products specifically.
