Job Description

As a Gas Compressor Operator, you will be vital in managing gas storage operations. The successful candidate will ensure optimal gas inventory levels, perform regular maintenance, and comply with safety standards. This role requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to respond rapidly to emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Control and monitor gas compressors and pumping operations.
• Perform safety checks to prevent gas leaks and ensure equipment integrity.
• Document operational data and generate reports for management.
• Work collaboratively with other operators and engineers.
• Utilize SCADA systems to oversee gas flow and storage metrics.
• Assist in emergency drills and safety audits.
• Train new operators on equipment and safety protocols.
• Evaluate and recommend improvements to operational processes.
• Support environmental compliance efforts related to gas storage.
• Engage in problem-solving during non-routine operations.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred

Experience

• 2 or more years of experience in gas storage or related field is preferred.
