Job Description

As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will play a crucial role in helping patients recover through tailored therapeutic interventions. You will support Occupational Therapists in executing therapy plans, facilitating sessions, and monitoring patient progress.

Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of individualized therapy plans.
  • Prepare and maintain equipment needed for therapy sessions.
  • Observe and document patients' reactions and progress during therapy.
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team for coordinated care.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations in the therapeutic setting.
  • Help patients perform daily activities to improve their functional mobility.
  • Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance skills.
  • Provide psychological support and motivation to patients.
  • Assist in conducting community outreach programs related to rehabilitation.

Requirements

Education
  • Completion of an accredited Occupational Therapy Technician training program
  • Associate degree in Occupational Therapy or related field is preferred
Experience
  • 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting.
