Tearoom Hostess

Job Description

As a Tearoom Hostess, you will be the first point of contact for our guests. Your primary responsibility will be to greet and seat guests, ensuring a warm welcome that sets the tone for their visit. You will also assist with managing reservations and ensuring that tables are clean and well-prepared for incoming guests.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming atmosphere for all guests.
• Manage the waitlist and optimize seating flow.
• Assist with food and beverage preparation activities.
• Conduct cleanliness and organization checks throughout the shift.
• Attend to guest requests and feedback promptly.
• Work collaboratively with servers and kitchen staff.
• Support tearoom events by setting up and coordinating activities.
• Educate guests on tea varieties and offerings.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
• Participate in training new staff as needed.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Prior experience in a customer service or food service setting is a plus.

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience working in a tearoom or restaurant setting: Prior experience in a similar hospitality environment.
