Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Grid Trimmer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for trimming trees and vegetation around power lines while adhering to safety standards. Your efforts will help maintain service reliability for our customers.

Responsibilities

• Prune and trim vegetation that might interfere with electrical flow.
• Ensure all safety protocols are followed strictly.
• Properly maintain work areas to keep them free of debris.
• Communicate effectively with the Operations team regarding any concerns.
• Complete maintenance logs and assist in reporting any incidents.
• Work flexible hours, including overtime when necessary.
• Participate in community outreach programs to educate on safety.
• Keep updated with local and state regulations concerning vegetation management.
• Assist in emergency response situations as needed.
• Promote a culture of safety and teamwork within the department.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Additional training in power line maintenance is preferred

Experience

• 1-2 years of experience in power line trimming or maintenance

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of power line systems
• Equipment operation

Soft Skills

• Communication
• Attention to detail

Certifications

• OSHA Safety Training
• Driver's License

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in landscaping or tree removal: Hands-on experience in vegetation management can be beneficial.
• Knowledge of local environmental regulations: Understanding state and local regulations regarding power line maintenance.
