As a Telecommunicator Supervisor, you will lead a team of professionals in the heart of our emergency communication center. Your role is vital in ensuring that emergency calls are handled efficiently and that resources are dispatched with precision. We are seeking an individual with strong leadership skills and extensive experience in emergency response protocols.

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of telecommunicators in handling emergency calls with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Implement performance metrics to evaluate team effectiveness and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure all emergency calls are answered accurately and responded to promptly.
  • Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency services to facilitate quick response times.
  • Train new staff on communication protocols and operating procedures.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to discuss challenges, updates, and improvements.
  • Develop strategies to enhance communication flow and reduce response times.
  • Maintain compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to emergency services.
  • Serve as the point of contact for any communication-related issues or escalations.
  • Promote a culture of safety and responsiveness within the team.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Safety, or a related field
  • Relevant certifications preferred
  • Emergency Communication Systems Deep understanding of emergency communication protocols and technologies.
  • Dispatch Software Proficient in using dispatch and communication software.
  • Leadership Proven ability to manage and lead teams effectively.
  • Communication Exceptional verbal and written communication skills essential for coordinating responses.
  • Problem-Solving Strong analytical skills to handle emergencies and operational challenges.
  • CPR and First Aid Certification
  • Emergency Dispatcher Certification
  • English (Fluent)
  • Spanish (Conversational)
Advantageous
  • Experience in 911 Dispatch: Prior experience working in a 911 dispatch environment can be beneficial.
  • Familiarity with GIS Technology: Understanding of Geographic Information Systems to assist in resource allocation.
