Job Description

The Local Truck Driver is responsible for transporting goods from one location to another within a specified area. This role involves navigating busy roads, ensuring the safety of cargo, and adhering to driving regulations, while providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Operate company-owned trucks for deliveries and pickups.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Plan and execute delivery routes using GPS and navigation tools.
• Record and maintain accurate delivery logs.
• Support warehouse duties such as inventory management and order fulfillment.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a commercial driver.

Technical Skills

• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
• GPS Navigation Skills
• Inventory Management Software Proficiency
• Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) familiarity

Soft Skills

• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills
• Time management skills

Certifications

• Hazardous Materials Endorsement (HAZMAT)

Languages

• English: Fluent
