Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Truck Mechanic to join our team. As a Truck Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various truck models and their components, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical issues and repair appropriately.
• Complete regular maintenance on diesel engines and other related systems.
• Test drive vehicles post-repair to ensure safety and performance.
• Work with diagnostic tools to identify issues quickly.
• Ensure the workshop is kept clean and all safety equipment is used.
• Mentor junior mechanics as needed to maintain high standards.
• Utilize software for tracking repairs and inventory of parts.
• Handle customer inquiries about services performed.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a certified mechanic training program

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in truck repair and maintenance.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of truck mechanics and systems
• Proficient in using various tools and equipment for truck repairs

Soft Skills

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills

Certifications

• ASE Certification is preferred

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in managing and maintaining a fleet of trucks: Experience working with logistics companies or fleet operations.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance: Understanding of DOT regulations and safety standards.
