Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Glost Kiln Operator to manage and maintain our high-temperature kilns used in ceramics production. The operator will ensure proper loading, firing, and monitoring of kilns, ensuring the highest quality in our ceramic products. This role requires attention to detail and a strong understanding of kiln operations and ceramics materials.

Responsibilities

• Operate glost kilns to ensure proper firing of ceramic pieces.
• Load and unload kiln chambers safely and efficiently.
• Monitor firing cycles and adjust settings as required.
• Conduct routine maintenance checks and address issues promptly.
• Ensure safety standards are adhered to in all kiln operations.
• Maintain detailed logs of kiln cycles and production data.
• Work closely with the production team to meet quality standards.
• Respond to and troubleshoot any operational issues with the kilns.
• Educate new team members about kiln operations and safety.
• Research and implement best practices in kiln operation.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certification in kiln operation or related field is a plus

Experience

• 1-3 years of experience, including experience with specialized kilns

Languages

• English: Fluent
