Job Description

Join our team as a Substance Abuse and Behavioral Disorder Counselor, where you'll conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and deliver therapeutic interventions to clients in need of support and guidance.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct intakes and assessments for new clients seeking treatment.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on client assessments.
  • Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions.
  • Continuously monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Assist in crisis interventions for clients experiencing acute distress.
  • Help clients with discharge planning and ongoing recovery support.
  • Participate in case reviews and staff meetings to ensure quality care.
  • Engage in outreach activities to educate the community about addiction and mental health.
  • Provide training and mentorship to interns and new staff.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree in social work, psychology, or counseling.
  • Additional certifications in substance abuse treatment are preferred.
Experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in mental health or addiction treatment.
