Job Description
Join our team as a Substance Abuse and Behavioral Disorder Counselor, where you'll conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and deliver therapeutic interventions to clients in need of support and guidance.
Responsibilities
Conduct intakes and assessments for new clients seeking treatment.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on client assessments.
Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions.
Continuously monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
Assist in crisis interventions for clients experiencing acute distress.
Help clients with discharge planning and ongoing recovery support.
Participate in case reviews and staff meetings to ensure quality care.
Engage in outreach activities to educate the community about addiction and mental health.
Provide training and mentorship to interns and new staff.
Requirements
Education
Master's degree in social work, psychology, or counseling.
Additional certifications in substance abuse treatment are preferred.
Experience
3-5 years of experience in mental health or addiction treatment.
