Hoist and Winch Operators

Job Description

As a Hoist and Winch Operator, your primary responsibility will be to inspect, sort, and trim mineral ores in order to meet our production requirements. You will ensure that the ore is of the desired quality and size, ready for further processing. This role is crucial to our operations, and you will play a key part in maintaining high standards of quality and safety on site.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the operation of hoists and winches to lift and move heavy materials safely.
• Monitor ore quality, adjusting processes as necessary to ensure best outcomes.
• Document production activities and maintain logs for quality assurance.
• Work closely with the Operations Manager to optimize workflow and productivity.
• Participate in safety training and compliance initiatives.
• Assist in training new staff on safety protocols and operational procedures.
• Support environmental stewardship efforts by following best practices for waste management.
