Sacristan

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Sacristan to assist in the preparation and coordination of religious ceremonies at our community center. The Sacristan will ensure the care and maintenance of sacred objects, vestments, and facilitate smooth worship services.

Responsibilities

• Set up altar and prepare necessary items for services.
• Support the clergy in performing services and rituals.
• Manage scheduling of volunteers for religious events.
• Maintain records of inventory and care for sacred items.
• Assist in special ceremonies such as weddings and baptisms.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Familiarity with religious ceremonies and rituals

Experience

• Experience with event coordination is a plus.

• Knowledge of multiple religious traditions

Advantageous

• Experience in event coordination and setup: Prior experience assisting in the planning and execution of religious events.
