Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Medical Interpreter to provide language interpretation services to patients and healthcare professionals at medical facilities. Candidates must possess exceptional language skills, medical knowledge, and cultural awareness.

Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate and culturally sensitive interpretations in various healthcare contexts.
• Create and maintain glossaries of medical terms in relevant languages.
• Support patients in understanding their rights and responsibilities in healthcare.
• Engage in continuous professional development to improve interpreting skills.
• Provide feedback on interpretation processes for service improvement.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• Medical Interpreter Certification (CMI) or equivalent

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Medical Interpreter in a clinical setting

Technical Skills

• Exceptional language skills in English and the target languages
• Proficient with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems

Soft Skills

• Attention to detail
• Teamwork

Certifications

• Certified Medical Interpreter (CMI)
• First Aid and CPR certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Mandarin: Intermediate
