Job Description

As a Trailer Mechanic at Top Tier Transportation, you’ll be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing our fleet of trailers. Ideal candidates should have a strong background in diesel mechanics and be proficient in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the overall maintenance schedule of the trailer fleet to ensure timely servicing.
• Assist in training and mentoring new employees on trailer maintenance and repair techniques.
• Provide technical guidance on trouble areas and suggest improvement measures.
• Participate in safety audits and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Consult with supervisors regarding necessary repairs and adjustments to equipment.
• Keep workspace clean and organized, ensuring all tools and machinery are accounted for.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Vocational training in automotive technology preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in the transportation industry, specifically with trailers

Technical Skills

• Hydraulic Systems Knowledge
• Diagnostic Equipment Usage

Advantageous

• Additional certifications: Relevant certifications in automotive technology or diesel mechanics are a plus.
• Fluent in Spanish: Ability to communicate effectively in Spanish is an asset.
