County Judge

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced County Judge to preside over court proceedings, make legal decisions, and ensure justice is served within the county. The County Judge will oversee civil and criminal cases, interpret and apply laws, and provide fair judgments.

Responsibilities

• Preside impartially over court cases and provide fair resolutions.
• Interpret complex legal documents and provide counsel as needed.
• Conduct thorough reviews of all evidence and make judgments based on findings.
• Ensure proper courtroom procedures are followed by all parties.
• Oversee staff and court operations to optimize efficiency.
• Engage with community members to educate on judicial processes.
• Foster relationships with local legal entities to ensure collaborative justice.
• Stay abreast of changes in law and judicial procedures.
• Lead by example in ethical decision-making.
• Train and mentor new judges and legal staff.

Requirements

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
• Master's in Law or related field preferred

Experience

• Minimum 10 years of experience in judicial roles.
