We are seeking a skilled Scow Hand to join our maritime team. The Scow Hand will play a vital role in assisting with the operation and maintenance of scows, adhering to safety protocols and ensuring efficient transport operations.
Responsibilities
Load and unload materials and equipment using proper techniques.
Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the scow and work areas.
Conduct regular assessments of scow equipment and report maintenance needs.
Assist in navigational tasks as required during scow operations.
Collaborate with the Captain and crew for smooth operations.
Actively participate in safety drills and training.
Adhere to all maritime operational protocols and standards.
Requirements
Education
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid Scow Hand certification or equivalent
Experience
At least 2 years of experience as a Scow Hand or in a similar role
Technical Skills
