Radiology Orderly

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Radiology Orderly to support our radiology department at our Chicago healthcare facility. The Radiology Orderly will assist in patient transportation, prepare examination rooms, and ensure the efficiency of radiological procedures to provide exceptional care.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the radiology area for daily operations and patient workflows.
• Actively assist during imaging procedures, including patient positioning.
• Ensure that necessary supplies and materials are stocked and ready.
• Maintain a sterile environment according to health regulations.
• Effectively communicate with patients about the imaging process.
• Document patient information promptly in the system after procedures.
• Assist in managing inventory and equipment maintenance schedules.
• Adhere to policies and procedures to uphold patient safety standards.
• Foster a welcoming environment that prioritizes patient satisfaction.
• Participate in training and development sessions as required.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Certification in Radiology Technology is an advantage

Experience

• Prior experience in a hospital or radiology setting is a plus.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of safety protocols
• Basic computer skills

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Prior experience in a similar role: Demonstrated experience as a radiology orderly or in a healthcare supporting role.
• CPR Certification: Current CPR certification to ensure patient safety during emergencies.
