Drafting Engineer

Job Description

The Drafting Engineer will create technical drawings and schematics for various engineering projects. Working closely with project managers and engineers, you will ensure that all drawings adhere to project specifications and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare layout drawings and schematics for complex engineering systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and manufacturing standards.
• Interact with cross-functional teams to discuss project progression.
• Assist in training junior drafting staff and interns on best practices.
• Perform quality checks on drawings to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field
• Professional certification in drafting or CAD software

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in drafting or engineering

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• SolidWorks
• Revit

Soft Skills

• Attention to detail
• Communication skills
• Team collaboration

Certifications

• Certified CAD Technician
• Professional Engineer (PE) License

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with 3D modeling software: Hands-on experience with tools such as Rhino or SketchUp.
• Familiarity with project management software: Experience using tools like Trello or Asana for task management.
