Job Description

As a Cranberry Bog Supervisor, you will oversee the daily operations of cranberry bogs, ensuring that cultivation, harvesting, and maintenance processes are executed effectively. Your role will involve managing a team, implementing best practices, and collaborating with agricultural experts.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate staff schedules for optimum productivity.
• Conduct training sessions on safe and efficient harvesting techniques.
• Analyze crop performance and implement improvements.
• Evaluate pest management effectiveness and adjust strategies accordingly.
• Ensure that all equipment is maintained in great working condition.
• Develop and maintain agricultural best practices for sustainability.
• Facilitate communication between management and workers.
• Prepare reports on operational activities and outcomes.
• Inspect bogs for signs of disease and take action as needed.
• Engage with community and stakeholders regarding farming practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture or related field
• Master's degree in Horticulture is preferred

Experience

• Experience in organic cranberry production is a plus.
