Job Description

As a Shell Fisherman, you'll be responsible for harvesting shellfish in various aquatic environments. You will gather, sort, and maintain the quality of the shellfish catch, ensuring compliance with safety and quality regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Harvest shellfish from designated areas while ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Monitor marine conditions and report changes that may affect harvesting.
  • Utilize GPS and other navigation tools for efficient routes.
  • Ensure that all catches are properly documented and reported.
  • Participate in regular safety drills and training sessions.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
Experience
  • Experience handling fishing gear and equipment is advantageous.
Technical Skills
  • Knowledge of Local Shellfish Species
  • Basic Boat Maintenance

Certifications
  • Valid Fishing License
  • First Aid and CPR Certification
