Job Description

As a Mill Labor Supervisor, you will oversee and coordinate the daily activities of laborers in a mill environment. You will be instrumental in ensuring efficient production, enforcing safety standards, and managing team schedules to meet production targets.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire a team of laborers to achieve production objectives.
  • Create daily production schedules based on operational demands.
  • Adhere to stringent safety regulations, ensuring all team members are compliant.
  • Evaluate production efficiency and implement corrective measures when necessary.
  • Provide mentorship and development opportunities for team members.
  • Work collaboratively with other departmental supervisors.
  • Gather feedback from team members to improve workplace conditions.
  • Prepare and submit reports detailing team productivity.
  • Organize team meetings to keep everyone informed and engaged.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the production environment.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Management or related field is preferred
Experience
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience in a mill or manufacturing setting.
