Job Description

As a Probation Officer or Correctional Treatment Specialist, you will play a vital role in the rehabilitation of offenders within the community. You will assess client needs, develop treatment plans, and monitor compliance with probation conditions to support successful reintegration.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate offenders' needs and risks upon initial intake.
• Create effective case management plans tailored to individual circumstances.
• Oversee probationers' compliance through regular check-ins.
• Partner with social service agencies and employers to support successful reintegration.
• Document case management activities and prepare reports for court.
• Provide crisis intervention as necessary.
• Facilitate group sessions focused on skill development and life skills.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and training.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Criminal Justice or Social Work preferred

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in probation or parole supervision preferred

Certifications

• Certified Correctional Officer (CCO)
• Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC)

Languages

• English: Fluent
