Job Description

As a Certified Substance Abuse and Behavioral Disorder Counselor, you will provide support to individuals battling addiction. Your role will involve developing tailored treatment plans, conducting assessments, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to enhance patient recovery.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive evaluations of clients to determine appropriate treatment strategies.
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions focused on recovery.
  • Keep detailed records of client interactions and treatment progress.
  • Advocate for clients and provide referrals to additional resources.
  • Ensure compliance with state regulations and organizational policies.
  • Engage in community outreach programs to raise awareness about addiction services.
  • Implement evidence-based practices to improve client outcomes.

Requirements

Education
  • Relevant certification as a Substance Abuse Counselor
Experience
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse clients in various treatment settings.
