Job Description
We are seeking a Waste Minimization Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing waste reduction initiatives, ensuring compliance with waste management regulations, and promoting environmentally friendly practices within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development of sustainability reports and presentations
- Stay updated on waste management regulations and best practices
- Support the implementation of recycling programs
- Engage with community stakeholders in waste reduction initiatives
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions for employees
- Help prepare grant proposals for waste reduction projects
- Evaluate the effectiveness of waste management strategies
Requirements
Education
- Master's degree in Environmental Science or related field is preferred
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in waste reduction and recycling programs
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of sustainable waste management practices
- Strong computer skills, including MS Office and waste management software
Soft Skills
- Team collaboration
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
Languages
- English: Fluent
Advantageous
- Master's degree in Environmental Management or related field: Advanced education in environmental policy and management.
