Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Prepare sausages for smoking, ensuring proper seasoning and fat trimming.
  • Operate commercial sausage smoking equipment while ensuring quality control.
  • Smoke sausages per established recipes, adhering to quality standards.
  • Adjust temperatures and smoke levels as necessary during the smoking process.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment, including equipment and tools.
  • Conduct taste tests and quality checks to ensure product excellence.
  • Collaborate with the culinary department on new sausage flavors and recipes.
  • Comply with safety regulations related to food handling and preparation.
  • Manage inventory of smoking supplies and sausage products.
  • Abide by company policies regarding workplace safety and cleanliness.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
Experience
  • Prior experience in culinary roles focusing on meat processing or smoking.
