Job Description
Seeking a motivated and experienced Deputy County Counsel to assist in delivering expert legal guidance to county officials. The successful candidate will engage in high-stakes legal analysis and representation in various civil matters.
Responsibilities
Advise county departments on compliance with state and federal laws.
Assist in the preparation of case strategies for litigation.
Draft and review contracts and agreements to ensure legal soundness.
Conduct trainings on legal responsibilities for department staff.
Coordinate with other government agencies on matters requiring joint legal strategies.
Engage in community outreach to provide legal education on relevant issues.
Participate in local government meetings to represent the county's legal interests.
Requirements
Education
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
Experience
At least 3 years of experience in civil litigation or public law
