Job Description

As a Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse, you will deliver specialized care to critically ill newborns and premature infants. You will monitor their health, administer treatments, and collaborate with a dedicated healthcare team to ensure optimal recovery and development.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments of neonates to evaluate health status and needs.
  • Implement and manage care plans based on individual patient conditions.
  • Collaborate with specialists and other nurses in the NICU for comprehensive care.
  • Utilize advanced medical equipment to monitor and support neonate health.
  • Provide family-centered care, addressing parental concerns and needs.
  • Maintain sterile techniques to prevent infections during procedures.
  • Document care activities and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.
  • Participate in training and mentorship for newly hired nurses.
  • Conduct research to improve neonatal best practices.
  • Advocate for the needs of neonates and families.

Requirements

Education
  • Valid RN license
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)
  • Certification in neonatal intensive care nursing preferred
Experience
  • At least 2 years of neonatal ICU experience required.
