Job Description

As a Home Health Aide, you will be responsible for delivering personalized care to patients in their homes. This role involves assisting with daily living activities, monitoring health conditions, and providing essential emotional support.

Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
  • Help patients with mobility and transferring to and from different locations.
  • Keep track of patients' vital signs and report any concerns.
  • Ensure a clean and safe living environment for patients.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support.
  • Document all care provided in a timely manner.
  • Communicate effectively with family members and the healthcare team.
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality.
  • Perform other related duties as necessary.

Requirements

Education
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in nursing or a related field
  • Additional certifications in specialized areas (e.g., wound care) preferred
Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in home healthcare or nursing
Technical Skills
  • Proficient in electronic health record systems
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology

Certifications
  • Additional specialized certifications (e.g., advanced wound care)
Languages
  • English: Fluent
