Job Description

The Track Superintendent will oversee and manage the maintenance and repair of railroad tracks and related structures. This position is crucial for ensuring that all work activities are performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the daily activities of the track maintenance crew.
  • Implement track maintenance plans and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs.
  • Provide training and guidance to maintenance crew members.
  • Maintain detailed records of all maintenance efforts.
  • Collaborate with other departments for seamless railroad operations.
  • Identify potential problems and devise effective solutions promptly.
  • Monitor budget and expenses for projects effectively.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
Experience
  • 7+ years of experience in track maintenance or related field
