Job Description

As an Underwriter at Insurance Solutions Inc., you will evaluate and assess risks for potential clients. The right candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and an understanding of insurance principles to make informed decisions regarding coverage and rates. You will play a key role in ensuring the financial security of our organization by managing risk effectively.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough reviews of insurance applications and risk assessments.
• Utilize underwriting software to manage case files efficiently.
• Produce precise documentation supporting your underwriting decisions.
• Engage in continuous learning to stay abreast of industry trends and best practices.
• Regularly liaise with brokers and agents to clarify client information and policy requirements.
• Collaborate with claims adjusters to understand the implications of underwriting decisions on claims.
• Evaluate renewal applications and make necessary adjustments to policy terms and pricing.
• Serve as a point of contact for underwriting queries from clients and internal staff.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
• Advanced degree is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant underwriting experience

• Data Analysis

• CPCU

Languages

• English: Fluent
