We are seeking a skilled Cut-Off Machine Operator to join our team in Detroit. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting cut-off machines to ensure precision in cutting various metal and plastic materials according to specifications. Your attention to detail and problem-solving skills will be key to maintaining high-quality standards in our production processes.

Responsibilities

• Operate cut-off machines to achieve high precision in material cutting.
• Analyze blueprints and work orders to establish cutting parameters.
• Adjust and fine-tune machine settings for optimal cutting performance.
• Proactively identify and solve potential machine problems.
• Keep workspace clean and organized, adhering to safety guidelines.
• Assist in maintaining inventory of supplies and materials.
• Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure product specifications are met.
• Report machine malfunctions and recommend equipment improvements.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Additional technical training is preferred

Experience

• At least 2 years of experience in a similar machine operation role
