Job Description

Join our team as a Sawmill Hand where you will be responsible for operating and maintaining sawmill machinery. This includes processing logs into lumber, ensuring that all equipment runs smoothly, and meeting production goals. Your efforts will help uphold our standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain various sawmill machines, ensuring precision in cutting.
  • Prepare logs for processing, including debarking and sawing.
  • Conduct regular quality inspections to guarantee product standards.
  • Assist in troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and perform minor repairs.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment to enhance efficiency.
  • Document production data to track output and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with fellow operators to ensure all production deadlines are met.
  • Participate in safety training workshops and implement learned practices.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
Experience
  • 2-3 years of experience in a sawmill or manufacturing environment
