Job Description

The Water Commissioner is responsible for overseeing and managing the city's water supply and distribution system. This role encompasses ensuring regulatory compliance, maintenance management, and the enhancement of water services.

Responsibilities

  • Implement innovative solutions to enhance water service delivery.
  • Manage local and federal grant applications for water resource projects.
  • Facilitate community engagement efforts regarding water conservation.
  • Supervise the safety protocols of water facilities.
  • Direct water conservation initiatives and public education.
  • Ensure timely communication with stakeholders and city officials.
  • Prepare annual reports on water usage and future projections.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Water Resources Management, or a related field

  • 10+ years in water management or environmental services
