Job Description

We are seeking a Buyers and Purchasing Agent to manage the procurement of farm products. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the agricultural industry and the ability to negotiate favorable purchasing contracts. You will be the key liaison between our company and the farmers, ensuring a steady supply of quality products.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the procurement process from sourcing to delivery.
  • Lead negotiations on price, terms, and conditions with suppliers.
  • Develop and implement purchasing policies and procedures.
  • Work closely with the Sales and Marketing teams to forecast product needs.
  • Maintain a database of preferred suppliers and their performance metrics.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and innovations to inform purchasing strategy.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct training for new team members on purchasing processes.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in business, agriculture, or related field
  • Relevant certifications preferred
Experience
  • 3+ years of relevant purchasing experience
