Job Description

As a Foster Care Social Worker, you'll play a vital role in supporting children in foster care and their families. Your responsibilities will include evaluating children's needs, developing care plans, and coordinating with foster parents and other stakeholders. You will be the advocate that ensures children's voices are heard, helping them navigate their transition into permanent placements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify children's needs.
• Design and execute strategic care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
• Engage with children and families to understand their concerns and experiences.
• Monitor and report on the status of children in care to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Facilitate training and workshops for foster parents about best practices.
• Support families in crisis situations.
• Participate in court hearings and case conferences when required.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work
• Master's degree in Social Work is an advantage

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years working with children and families

Technical Skills

• Child welfare laws
• Documenting case notes

Languages

• English: Fluent
