Job Description

Join our team as a Hoist and Winch Operator where your skills in safely handling lifting equipment will be put to the test. This role encompasses not only operating hoists but also performing inspection and routine maintenance to ensure operational safety.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate air hoists and rigging equipment according to company guidelines.
• Conduct pre-use inspections on hoisting equipment to ensure functionality.
• Securely attach loads and communicate lifting plans with team members.
• Manipulate hoists to vertically and horizontally move heavy materials.
• Perform maintenance checks and address minor repairs on equipment.
• Coordinate closely with warehouse and production teams during operations.
• Document equipment usage and report maintenance needs accurately.
• Notify supervisors of any equipment issues and safety concerns.
• Follow established safety protocols at all times.
• Engage in ongoing safety training and discussions.
• Mentor and train new operators on safe practices and procedures.
• Ensure that all materials are properly organized and pathways are clear.
